On my first visit to the Arab world, I had the good fortune of spending Thanksgiving 2009 with my buddy Dan in the United Arab Emirates capital of in Dubai. In addition to a turkey dinner with Dan's ex-pat friends, we enjoyed an especially good Moroccan Restaurant, shopped at the Safest Way, marveled at impressive architecture, and indulged in a favorite Emirati past time of off-roading around sand dunes in Dan's Patrol.
This "Turn Back the Clock" mini-series features various highlights from my 2009-2010 overseas Sabbatical.
