Have you tried combining DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk and DROPS Fabel? The result is soft, warm and hard wearing, as shown in this lovely swatch where we work together DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk 40, marzipan and DROPS Fabel 930, fairy dust.
Our knitted sample has a knitting tension of about 16 stitches = 10 cm using 5 mm needles, which is a perfect fit for patterns in knitting tension group 17 - 16 stitches.
Remember however that knitting/crochet tension varies from person to person and that the suggested needle/hook size is only a guide. You can adjust the size to get a different tension - or match the tension recommended in the pattern you are working with. Just make a swatch!
