Continuing with Undercover Mode, we do the missions in Havana. Here we start to spot more stuff that was yet to implement into the game in the final version. A nice thing from the hack is the ability to complete the mission "Tail Jericho", which is impossible to do in the pre-release due it crashing right at beginning of the mission.
Follow Up the Lead: The mission has no intro or end cutscene, and starts at a different place from retail version. Also the car we must follow always takes the same route to the destination, with no variation like in the final version.
Hijack the Truck: No intro cutscene or alternative routes to the truck go. On pre-release the truck doesn't honk during the mission, and the game doesn't tell you to take it to the lock up.
Truck to the Lock: Second cut mission from the game, where we take a truck to Tanner's lock up. I cover this mission years ago directly from the pre-release version, though now I in the hack I can complete the mission thanks to "Drive through Walls" GameShark code. My video of the mission and codes to play and pass it in the hack are down the description.
Stop the Truck: Unlike shown in the hack, the mission's name doesn't appear in the pre-release, as well Jones phone call starts earlier. Truck has only one driving route.
Find the Clue: The mission's intro is different and shorter. The orange car at the beginning is duplicated for some reason, as shown in the video by crashing into it. There's no time limit, unlike the final version.
Escape to the Ferry: The mission's name, which for whatever reason was changed to "Escape to Ferry" in the final version. The cops won't fall back here when reaching the ferry, though I couldn't show in the video. Also there's no scene of the ferry's departure.
To the Docks: There's no intro scene showing the arrival of the ferry. The mission begins inside a car instead of being outside like in the final version. The car will be glitching through the ferry, thus requiring to quickly getting out of it before falling through the ferry and failing the mission. That car by the way is red here, while being green In the final version. Also we have 1 extra minute to complete the mission.
Back to Jones: The headlights of the blue car will be on, despite it glitched during the recording of the mission and the hack wouldn't shown that
Tail Jericho: As mentioned above, this mission crashes in the pre-release but can be completed in the hack. Jericho always take the same route to the destination. The mission ends at the back of the Brazilians hideout, instead of the entrance of the place. With that, there's no ending scene before completing the mission.
Pursue Jericho: The intro scene is different, with Tanner glitched through the building's door. All parked vehicles have their engines on, though that isn't shown in the hack. Jericho drives a different car and takes the same escape route, which is glitched in the hack so he doesn't go too far way. There's no text in the pre-release to enter the car once you stop it.
Escape the Brazilians: If you play the hack, the mission will be inaccurate to the pre-release. You will be on foot where you finished the previous with the skin of Jericho for some reason. Nothing of that happens on pre-release. So i recorded the mission from Replay Mission section to be more accurate. In the pre-release we begin not in the same place we crashed Jericho, and we be driving a orange car instead of what we used in the previous. Interesting enough, despite that being changed in the final version when playing directly from Undercover Mode. You can start the mission begins with the same car and starting point at Replay Missions option. Also there's more than two cars chase you, which might be a leftover from Driver 1. Finally, There's no comments from Jericho while being chased.
