I have been drilling at the Verzasca Dam in Switzerland made famous by the opening scene in the James Bond Film Golden eye. In recent years there has been an extreme climbing competition called the Red Bull Dual Ascent Challenge, the worlds best climbers compete in mixed teams of two in parallel courses up the side of the Dam.
I was invited by @hiltigb to go and visit the Dam and see how @hilti has provided the tools and fixing technology to create the amazing climbing routes. I was able to rappel all the way down the face of the Dam to look at the competition routes fixed by Hilti and also experience the drilling and fixing techniques used on the Dam wall.
I was also able to climb on one of the practice routes and this has to be one of the most amazing experiences that I have ever had!!!
