Four years ago, Adrian Santoyo’s social media post went viral. Growing up in California’s agricultural heartland, Adrian drew a picture in kindergarten that said, “When I grow up, I want to be a doctor for the little cows.” When he was accepted into #UCDavisVetMed, he shared that drawing alongside a photo of him in front of the school’s logo with the caption, “First week of school vs. First week of veterinary school,” and got 163,000 likes on the post. Today, Dr. Santoyo is off to live his dream as a veterinarian in #Bakersfield, caring for little cows, dogs, cats, and any other animal patient that comes his way.
