I competed with @angelicdazeamvs in this year's Iron Editor at Momocon 2026 for the theme "Center Stage", and it was so much fun!! The theme was so perfect for us and it was so amazing competing with her.
This was the rare occasion where I'm heavily invested in over half the sources and know the rest as well, so I was able to focus on the core of what I like from the sources. Out of all of them, the Revue Starlight movie is actually my favorite, and is closest to what I think of when it comes to "center stage": a selfish desire to stand above the others and have everyone's attention on you. There is only one spot available for position zero, after all. So I wanted a dark intensity for the song to highlight that. Thank you to the radio for showing me this song a week before the competition 🙏
Luckily the secret source had a character with this vibe as well. Shout out to the AMV community for making sure I was familiar enough with the movie before this LOL
Also next year I need to make sure disable resample is set for the render AAAAAH
