The most important thing about this game is what you name your character. Using the name THESIEGE will give you the maximum bonus, but unfortunately, with this name, the bonus will be applied to your HP and MP, and your STR and AGI will suffer as a result.
If you name your character NAME, you will get the bonus to HP and STR instead. These are the ideal stats to boost to ensure you can deal enough damage to the final boss while still having enough MP to make it through the fight.
Other names that are known to work in the speedrun community are J and Z.
