The year of the dragon is over, but we're not done yet!
Team DMR, led by babyjeff, has been cooking and it's time to face all Robot Masters from Dragon Man: Reignited (Demo 2)!
The gameplay feels like a combination of Mega Man (Dragon Man can charge his Buster + fire while walking + his shots go through walls) and Bass (he has a dash that carries momentum to his jumps, but no double jump).
I had a great time playing this! It was fun to complete this Holy Trinity challenge (No Damage, Uncharged Buster Only, No Miss), but it was even better to explore the special weapons during my second run. Holy Met! V. Wave is awesome! It's MMU Comet Dash on steroids! The delicious kind of broken! G. Spiral and D. Lance are quite good too, and C. Cal definitely has its moments with its reflective property!
The attention to detail is also worth mentioning. From lots of secrets to many different messages and tips during Game Over screens to variations in our character's mugshot in the pause menu when we are at low HP, or upside down, or frozen! I just loved those details!
I enjoyed the first demo, and I had an even better time playing the second one! I'm certainly looking forward to the final game!
P.S. This was played on hard difficulty with infinite lives. They really -spiced- spiked up things there! As a huge fan of 1001 Spikes, I approve!
P.P.S. I fell in love with Sakugarne! It's way too fun! Why quit when you can Quint? (I should probably create a t-shirt with that saying).
