I got my congas out for this one! And my voice too. Wasn't sure how I could make any improvements on such a beautifully crafted piece of music by Mike Smith. For the first time in the entire time I've loved this music, I noticed something really cool about Android 16's theme. Out of all the androids, he is the most robotic, synthetic, yet also he is the most gentle and has the biggest heart. His music sounds so earthy, peaceful, yet also doesn't deny the techno aspects of him. It is the perfect representation of him as a character and a being- and of someone who despite their programming, chooses to be good for the sake of life itself. There's also a sadness embedded in the alternating two chord progression, whether it for his resistance against his robotic "nature", or perhaps even in the wake of his death. I am familiar with the lore of his tragic backstory (which DBZA depicted)- it could also be that somewhere in this music lies the key to the very inception of Android 16's, his past, his memory.
Oh by the way, i couldn’t recreate that peculiar laughing sound at the end so I just took it from the original and blended it in- I thought it was too important to leave out.
