DOOM: Eternal Slayer mod by edypegaza is a total gameplay modification that changes perspective from first to third person where we play as a Doomslayer from DOOM 2016, it's more a melee character type than a gunslinger. Doomslayer in this mod has a gigantic Crucible at his disposal, a highly damaging weapon that can take down a Baron Of Hell with four swings, it's also a crowd control weapon. However it's very rare to kill most of the enemies with one simple swing, you might need a combo of two to take down such enemies as Imps, however former humans might need a one attack to take them down. Lots of the attacks however will push enemies far away, especially those from mid to high tier such as mentioned Barons or Hell Knights, Mancubi however are way too heavy and they simply take hits gently. When you want to take care of the flying enemies, you must use a jump in such situations and press attack in the air, you will be able to perform a powerful Crucible combo while hanging mid-air till combo is done. You also have an access to the firearms but limited (currently two are done), one of them is the EMG Pistol that does not need any ammo but its firepower is poor, however this is a precise weapon that can be used all the time. Second firearm is the super shotgun, this one uses shotgun shells to be found scattered around the levels, opposite to the EMG Pistol this is a good weapon only in close encounters due to pellet spread, some enemies are pulled back flying. In this modification it's quite crucial to never engage way too many enemies at once with perspective of being surrounded, also some of the enemy projectiles are way more threatening to you, for example Spider Mastermind's chaingun. Same happens with Mancubi fireballs, Archvile's flame attacks, Cyberdemon's rockets being simply blocked by multiple Cacodemons or Pain Elementals whom also received a new flaming projectile attack. Because Doomslayer is a melee character in this mod, monsters almost always drop a small health bonus whenever they are defeated, but you can stack these only up to 200. In the next versions of the mod, more melee weapons such as normal fists or firearms like Plasma Rifle or Rocket Launcher are planned to be added.
