Shows how/where to access all the keys in Doom 64 level 18, Spawned Fear. Enable Captions for on-screen notes. Note that it can sometimes be tricky to reach the yellow key by running straight at it. You may want to try strafe-running instead (using a simultaneous combination of Run-forward and Strafe-sideways). This moves the player character at an odd angle, but is slightly faster than forward running.
If you have trouble running in Doom 64: Under the game's Options menu, check your controller/key bindings to find/enable/(re)assign your Run (or 'Speed') button. Modern ports of Doom 64 also have an 'Autorun' option (also under bindings). If Autorun is On, then using Run at the same time will actually slow you.
Notes on the making of this video: Generally speaking this is a 'no monsters'-style demo, made to quickly show the stated objectives without additional minutes of combat. However, specific enemies are present when they are needed to trigger events that allow a player to progress through the level.
Side note about the blue key: The switch seen at 34 seconds in this video can be triggered by shooting it with a pistol, shotgun or chaingun. Modern retail ports of Doom 64 also allow the Unmaker/laser weapon to trigger the switch, but the original N64 game does not.
This video replaces one made in April of 2020 ( youtu.be/KIHj2DEQfWA ) and is faster by more than half a minute.

![Doom 64 level 16, Blood Keep: Deathtrap [Spoiler]
[Spoilers] Shows the location of a deadly trap in Doom 64 level 16, Blood Keep, and shows a way to avoid becoming a victim. Enable Captions for on-screen notes.
Details follow:
The area is a large rectangular room located just before the exit switch. Youll need the yellow key to enter it. (See https://youtu.be/BamWFe11zV0 for a video on how to get the keys.)
Map showing location of all keys: https://classicdoom.com/d64maps/16-k1.htm
Map showing location of the exit: https://classicdoom.com/d64maps/16-x1.htm
When you move into the room, the lights will go dark, and within a few seconds some enemies will spawn. Whenever the last enemy is killed, there will be a momentary delay, and then the floor around the outer edges of the room will sink down into a corrosive pool below.
There are no portals or lifts to escape the corrosive, so to avoid being trapped there youll need to stay on the central rectangular floor section, or on the narrow ledges next to the yellow-keyed door and the exit-chamber gate. Note that there are still gaps between those narrow ledges and the rectangular floor section, but its fairly easy to run across them without falling.
