This is my walkthrough for Doom 3 in HD quality.
FIRST OFF: This is played with the ORIGINAL GAME SETTINGS. All weapons are at their default settings, they only sound better. The only things I changed are the sounds and how the flashlight looks.

I am playing on Veteran difficulty.
I made this because I was recently watching a playthrough of another youtuber in HD who suddenly went AWOL in the middle of the run. I therefore decided to make my own complete walkthrough for others to enjoy in HD. Despite there already being lots of walkthroughs for Doom 3, I believe it will be one of the few complete ones in HD.
For those wondering, I use the TRENT REZNOR SOUNDPACK:
doom3.filefront.com/file/Trent_Reznor_Sound_Pack;29308
I also replaced the look of the flashlight with the one from RE-AUTHORED LIGHTS:
doom3.filefront.com/file/Reauthored_Lights_mod;30207
BUT! I only took out the 'flashlight5.tga' file from the above mod (open the pk4 files with winrar or 7zip) and put it into another mod called PENTAGRAM FLASHLIGHT (I simply drag and dropped while having both pk4 files opened with 7zip):
doom3.filefront.com/file/Pentagram_Flashlight;29398
This is because I have no idea how to pack pk4 files... I just copy pasted the stuff I want from one mod into another because I don't want all the other changes introduced by 're-authored lights'.
To play Doom 3 in widescreen:
r_mode -1
r_customheight 1920 (or whatever your res is)
r_customwidth 1200 (or whatever your res is)
r_aspectratio 2 (0=4:3, 1=16:9, 2=16:10)
I used 1280x720 with "1" as aspect ratio to record this video with FRAPS.
I also increased the brightness while recording so that you guys have something other than a black screen to watch.
r_brightness 1.2
r_gamma 1.2
r_lightscale 2.8

![Metro 2033 - Ranger Hardcore Walkthrough Part 8 - Depot + Defense + Child
The revolver is really very handy at Depot with its one-shot kills, you can also knife/bash some of the monsters hanging onto the cart. The level Defense is pretty much the same as most other defence levels, use your gun if you get swamped, otherwise try and let the other defenders do the killing.
Child is a pretty annoying level because your aim gets a huge delay (apparently from carrying Sasha on your back), be sure to listen out from where the lurkers are coming from in order to shoot them just as they emerge from the holes. Its very easy to get swamped and lose track of them, especially since non of the monster have collision boxes and will jump right through you... trying to move your aim in 180 turns several times will get you killed with the huge mouse delay.
It would be a good idea to pickup a scoped weapon somehwere in these levels if you dont already have one for the upcoming Outpost level in order to take out the snipers.
This is played on Ranger Hardcore difficulty. PLAYLIST: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEC59D2EC40935453
I edited the user.cfg with notepad in order to increase the FOV.
To do this you must edit the SICK_FOV value in the THREE user.cfg files located here:
C:Users[your username]AppDataLocal4A GamesMetro 2033
C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappscommonmetro 2033
C:Program Files (x86)Steamuserdata[random set of numbers]43110remote
Important: You need to keep the fullstop. I set it to SICK_FOV 65. Remember that Metro uses vertical FOV measurement rather than the common horizontal measure. A vertical FOV of 65 is a horizontal FOV of 90 on a 16:10 1920x1200 resolution. Setting it any higher might make some errors appear like seeing the end of your arms during reload animations or cutscene animations. You can try to see what you like best.
I just think the default FOV is ridiculous... and unfortunately, this is becoming way to common an issue for console ports nowadays. Metro 2033 - Ranger Hardcore Walkthrough Part 8 - Depot + Defense + Child](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/EX8U46loJQw/mqdefault.jpg)
