Joshua Smith, 30, was caught on CCTV repeatedly trying — and failing — to throw a package containing about $16,000 worth of drugs and a mobile phone over a prison wall. After three failed attempts, he finally cleared the wall on his fourth try.
But his success was short-lived. A prison officer spotted the package, and it was recovered before it reached any inmates.
Smith was later arrested and pleaded guilty to two offenses involving throwing prohibited items into a prison. He was sentenced at Hull Crown Court to more than three years behind bars.
