Do you struggle more with frizz at the roots or at the ends?

Those little baby hairs and new growth around your roots aren’t just “annoying.”
They’re actually a big source of volume. But if they don’t get gel, they turn into frizz.
When I rake, I rake all the way to the root, so those hairs aren’t left naked.
That’s why sectioning helps so much. It makes it easier to:
coat the roots
smooth baby hairs
prevent puffiness
keep frizz from forming later
Sometimes I use a brush because it’s faster.
Sometimes I use my hands like a brush and pinch the hair to help it clump.
And if certain pieces frizz badly, I’ll lightly finger coil just to give them direction.
Hold at the roots doesn’t mean flattening your volume.
It means giving those hairs structure, so they behave.
That’s how you get controlled volume instead of chaos.
