Introducing Creepy Castle, the penultimate and spookiest world in DK64, featuring such horrors as Kremlings in bedsheets, a museum with moving statues, constant wailing and moaning in the background music, and most horrific of all, a ... cardboard crocodilian cutout of King K. Rool. OH NO! THE HORROR! THE CORRUGATED, RECYCLABLE HORROR!
What makes Creepy Castle such a delight is that it touches on all the tropes, both scary and goofy, that make Halloween such a unique, memorable holiday. Fittingly, Grant Kirkhope's background music conveys each of these moods as well, beginning with a chromatic, spooky buildup that leads to a quirky, swung "Addams Family"-esque melody! Have a happy Halloween, and hope you enjoy the brassy (and non-brassy) surprises in this video!
