One evening, an angst filled singer songwriter (plagued by a proclivity for minor keys) breathed a sigh of relief at having finished another painstaking song earlier than expected. Rather than cancel the next day’s session (which would never be enough time to create another masterpiece of melancholy) the producer suggested they try to create the polar opposite. Something whimsical, made quickly, without fussing over any details, "just for fun." They both loved every minute of it and never looked back. And thus was born- Wyld & Free.
Wyld & Free is the works of award-winning producer Bleu and eccentric songer/singwriter Johnny C. After years of exploring various genres together on Bleu’s annual trips to the Boston area, they inevitably decided to concentrate on simply cramming the most fun into the shortest time. Both the creative process and the resulting anthems are built on immediacy, and favor mania over minutiae. Their first single, “Done It Like This,” will be included on We Are: The Guard’s Synch Compilation Vol. 1.
