Find out if there's a Goodwill Buy the Pound Outlet near you. Wear rubber gloves because you need to dig through bins and it can be a bit icky touching all those secondhand things.

Heat gun- I use mine to quickly dry paint, soften the glue to dismantle furniture and quickly cure polymer clay without an oven. Gets a lot hotter than a hair dryer.
