Dog Mountain and Anderson Lake are hidden gems within the popular upper reaches of the Snoqualmie River drainage. In this video, we hike from the Taylor River trailhead to the 'hidden' Dog Mountain route from the south. Navigation and scrambling skills are prerequisites, as the route is very steep and not easy to follow in places. Your hard work in getting there is rewarded by a wonderful 360-degree panoramic view of the central Cascades. Places like this, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery in peace and solitude, make Washington State very special.
