Join us for the Lord’s Day gathering at Twelve 5 Church as we continue our study through the book of Acts.
This week we come to one of the most debated statements in the book of Acts:
“And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.”Acts 22:16
Does baptism wash away sin? Is water baptism necessary for justification? And how should we understand this verse without minimizing the command of Christ or confusing the sign with the Savior?
We will consider four truths from the text:
Do not minimize Christ’s command.
Do not mistake the sign for the Savior.
Do not misread this verse in isolation.
Do not miss the urgency of obedience.
