Many people assume that Reformed theology leaves believers uncertain about their salvation. In reality, the opposite is true.
Chapter 18 of the 1689 London Baptist Confession teaches that true believers can attain a real, well-grounded assurance of salvation. Our confidence is not rooted in wishful thinking or personal performance, but in the finished work of Christ, the promises of God, and the testimony of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer (Rom. 8:16; Heb. 6:11–12; 1 John 5:13).
