Does it seem like overdrive pedals in general just sort of... suck? Do you hate the sound of them when you've tried them? In this video I'll explain why that may be, and what you can do if you really, really *want* to like them but haven't found one that called out to your soul yet. Often, it's because the type of gain stages used in them just aren't what sounds good to your ear. What do those gain stages sound like, how do they differ and how do you find out how to tell what a pedal is using? We discuss that.
