We released the TCD as our take on a legendary circuit topology that divides people... Some swear by it. Some hate it. We loved it but wanted to do more with it- it's such a great circuit that has a ton of capabilities lurking inside.
The TCD features three active EQ bands - bass, mids, and treble - all fully independent. We kept the original tone control because that's a key part of what makes the circuit work. But here's the actual innovation: instead of just using MOSFETs as clipping diodes like everyone else does, we built an entirely different signal path that routes through MOSFET gain stages. This is closer to how a real tube amp works, not just a fancy way to clip signal.
There are dip switches inside that lets you toggle between multiple circuit versions. You get a couple of different OCD topologies plus our all new MOSFET gain staging approach - this turns it into an entirely different circuits, it's basically three different pedals in one box.
The result is an overdrive that can be as subtle as light breakup or as aggressive as full distortion. Depending on how you set the EQ and drive, it responds differently.
