I got a cheap 5M and 1.8M decorators extension poles a while back which I've screwed gopro mounts on for high angle shots.
I fitted the Osmo extension bar on a 1/4"-20 1" screw which makes a great way to shoot low aerials without a quadcopter, if it's too close to buildings/people/overhead wires/trees this is a nice way to get a couple of low aerial shots to mix into high/distant shots from a quad.
The 5M pole cost under £21/$32, its Harris 731 5m Premier Extension Pole which came with the plastic end mount
I also have a shorter extending/quick release 1.8M pole for under £8/$12 which fits same screw thread.
This was my first attempt, so with a bit of practice you can get really smooth shots and for a lot of low aerial stuff, 5M is high enough, often the best/most dramatic shots are low/close to tree's buildings, so this is a safe and cheap way to get those shots.
The clips are raw video straight off the memory card, in the past I've done this with a gopro3 on a 2 axis gimbal on a pole, and have stabilised video when editing to smooth out jiggling/pole bounce, but this video is much smoother already, and with practice I am confident could be used unstabilised and would blend well with quadcopter aerials.
