This was a quick test as it was getting dark of a cheap 2 axis gimbal (£28), mounted on a paint brush holder, and fitted to a 5M Harris extending paint pole.
The pole is fairly bouncy at full extension with camera on so you need to keep movements smooth, and low light exagerates blur on video, this was shot 720p60fps then stabilised in Sony HMS12.
I bought gimbal from banggood for £29 posted (its identical to my original 2 axis gimbal which is on Phantom).
It works perfectly out of the box with gopro3, also tested with Xiaomi Yi which also works fine as long as you run velcro strap outside slot on camera bar so it holds camera snugly, so it cannot wobble.
Since I shot this test video I have flipped the gimbal arm out front so you no longer see the top plate in shot, I also have a power switch to fit so its quick and easy to power/unpower the gimbal rather than plugging/unplugging the lipo (I have switch on the phantom for gimbal and vtx).
This is the gimbal I bought - from China (not UK warehouse which is more expensive).
