Another vid of me roaming around testing. This is from the O3 on board DVR.
I wanted to test out whether or not having Channel Mode in Manual or Auto makes any difference. I read somewhere in a forum that it did for one person, and another person on YT confirmed that manual mode made a difference in certain situations as well. I'm not really sure why that would be since you'd think Auto is literally going to the best channel automatically but it may be more complex than that if one of the other channels has a lot of interference. For me it made no difference. There were actually no goggles settings that made any differences whatsoever to me when it came to range/penetration.
Even trying different antenna arrangements has not made any real difference so far so I would recommend someone just keep the stock stuff unless they know of a winning antenna set for sure. My consistent range in this area seems to be about from where I'm parked to the far end of the lot and no further. That is placing a bit of the asphalt/ground in between and some trees. It seems to be an in between of having enough range/penetration to know for sure that the unit is not in some low power mode for some reason, but also not quite enough to where it seems like it's working as advertised.
