I went out and did a little field test, using the "active track" feature on the DJI Mavic Air. To be clear: the Mavic AIR is a fantastic and iconic piece of technology and the 'active track' feature is very impressive. It basically allows you to have your drone following you in your tracks, functioning entirely on artificial intelligence.
I was quite pleased with the test. However, there were 3 hiccups, worth mentioning, some partly my fault. As you'll see in the vid, there were 3 moments where the drone disconnected from the tracking target, for 3 different reasons.
