Here is the famous tune MINOR SWING composed by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli.
In this version I made an arrangement for slide guitar played lap steel style on a Dobro.
MINOR SWING became one of the standards played by Gypsy Jazz musicians. The style is also referred as Jazz Manouche becuse many of its players were of Manouche gypsy origin.
It was originally recorded by he Quintette du Hot Club de France in 1937.
Django’s life is a very interesting adventure. I highly recommend everyone to read his full biography. From surviving to serious wounds produced when he tried to safe his wife from a fire. Against all odd he was able to play guitar again, in a very unique way. But not only that, he lived during the World War times, in which he lived quite many ashtonising adventures fleeing from persecution.
