I was inspired by the 10th Anniversary Mini Traveler's Notebook put out by the Traveler's Company (maybe 2016?). This teeny tiny journal is so adorable, I had to try to make one of my own. This tutorial covers how to make a 5cm x 5cm cover with elastic closure and elastic band for inserts. I will also show how to make the slighly smaller insert for this mini journal as well as how to finish it as a charm or dangle for a key ring or journal, etc.

Material: leather, faux leather, thick paper, etc.
leather awl or paper piercer, pliers, large-eye needle / tapestry needle, scrap papers for insert, scissors, punching surface / cutting mat, elastic cording, jump rings (medium and small), crimp beads, clasp, ruler, pencil / marking tool, tiny attacher or stapler, binder clips
