Let's discover some new to me watercolors that feature a unique experiential quality: they're scented! These are the Dew Bloom Set 2 Aroma Botanical Collection watercolors. There are 6 8ml tubes of watercolor and each has a unique scent. I will swatch them out with you on some Meeden 100 percent cotton watercolor block paper. I'll also show you how they swatched out on a Paul Rubens watercolor block and the Fluid watercolor paper. I'll share all the pigment information as well as lightfastness and transparency ratings from the Rockwell website. If you've been curious about these watercolors or just enjoy a good swatching, this video is for you.
Let me know what you think in the comments.
This watercolor set was a gift to me from Sketchbox, so I did not pay for them myself. If you'd like to see that fabulous collection of art supplies, check out this video: youtu.be/k4KOl5nUOc8
Also, if you would like to see some other scented watercolors from Rockwell, I received two coffee watercolors in the March 2025 premium Sketchbox. Here is the unboxing: youtu.be/wv9JmzW41tc
Update: Response from Rockwell about he "S in the hexagon" It is referring to the series number. Also, they said that all paints starting with "EM" are granulating and all others are "highly pigmented classical colors." I guess that means mine are not officially granulating.
