Hey guys! A couple of weeks ago I starting stocking 9mm string. This string is great to use for chunky wall hangings. Today I will show you how to make a diamond with a tassel in the middle using this string. Let’s get started.
Set up - cut 4 pieces of string, each piece is 6 ft long. Attach to your dowel using Lark’s Head knots.
Tie a DHHK with the two middle strands. Using the right strand as your filler cord tie 3 more DHHKs working down and to the right. Repeat on the left side of your work.
Tie a DHHK with the two middle strands. Using the right strand as your filler cod tie 2 more DHHKs working down and to the right. Repeat on the left side of your work.
Using the same filler cord tie 2 DHHKs working down and to the right. Repeat on the right side of your work.
Slip the last DHHK down your filler cord on both sides to create some space. Attach 4 1 ft pieces to your work in the space created. Bring the ends to the front of your work and tie a DHHK with the two filler cords underneath.
Using the outside left cord as your filler cord tie 3DHHKs working down and to the right. Repeat on the right side of your work. Tie one more DHHk in the middle to connect the diamond. Brush out your string and trim the ends.
Thanks for watching!
