Welcome to the 5th video in this series on How to Make a Wound and Sew it Up. This is another cool new series of instructional videos brought to you by Eggehead FX. In this series we show you how to make a wound out of clay and eventually taking a needle and thread and stitching it up.
This video will go into detail on how to paint your wound to look realistic and camera ready. We are using Encore, alcohol activated makeups from European Body Art. These are makeup pallets that use 99% isopropyl alcohol to activate before applying them to an actor or appliance. If you use a lesser percentage than 99% isopropyl alcohol you will not be about to activate the makeup well or mix or blend the makeup when applying it to your actor or prosthetic. We go over techniques and what it takes to make a wound look real.
