How to easily build this 3 tiered plant stand / shelf with NO POWER TOOLS, no nails and no screws! Concrete blocks, Timber planks, Glue and Gravel!
Materials used:
10 - Standard concrete blocks
10 - Single concrete blocks
3 - Timber sleepers (H4 treated to protect from moisture rot and termites.
2 - Tubes of External Liquid Nails Construction Adhesive
1 - 20kg bag of 5mm gravel.
Steps:
1 - Work out dimensions so you can determine how much materials to buy. How tall do you want it? How many tiers do you require? How wide will the structure be? How deep will it be?
2 - Dig hole, clear out soft topsoil and any mulch. Make it large enough to sit blocks on.
3 - Pour gravel into hole, compact it firm by stepping on it.
4 - Place Blocks onto gravel, making sure it is level with ground.
5 - Start gluing blocks together, remember to stagger blocks if you are building above 1level.
6 - Glue timber shelves in place.
7 - Fill with as many pot plants as you like.
8 - Enjoy :D
