Growing my very own Loquat tree. This is the 1st flowers and fruit it has set, only 1.5meter tall tree. Very low maintenance, very little water required once rooted. Also very cold tolerant.
Fruit is juicy and fresh, extremely soft melting texture and flavour is a mild peach / orange taste. Smell coming off the tree is also amazing. Very floral and smell spreads over night so you get a waft through your home.
Will keep pruned into a dense small tree, not over 3 meters. I've planted it at my entrance as it's very beautiful looking. Leaves are large dark green and a little furry. Flowers are nothing spectacular but the smell is epic.
