In todays Woodworking episode I show you how to make DIY Floating Shelves with LEDs.
The wall shelves are made out of cherry and finished with 3 coats of a wipe on poly. The bottom shelf is 20" long, the vertical board is 9 1/2" long and the top board is 8 1/2" long. All three parts are 5 3/4" wide. I routed a 3/8" wide, 1/4" deep groove on the center of the boards for an battery powered LED strip. The joinery method for the shelves are reinforced miters.
