Bringing a Roland TR-505 drum machine back to life! In this DIY repair tutorial, I fix a dead screen, troubleshoot sound problems, and restore this vintage Roland classic step by step.
The TR-505 is one of Roland’s legendary drum machines, (mostly) loved by producers and synth fans worldwide. In this repair guide, I open it up, clean contacts, repair the LCD display with a new polarizer, and troubleshoot sound and ROM issues until it’s fully working again.
