In this video, Maxx shows you how to make a sword or weapon mount to display on your wall. If you have a powerful or fantastic weapon, why not display it between larp or cosplay events? This is a simple, good-looking and almost free away to do so. And best of all, anyone can do it!
You'll Need:
Cardboard
Pen or Marker
Box Cutter or Good Scissor
PVA or Glue of choice
Two screws and washers to mount it
Paint and a brush
Optional leather strap
Start by making your own pattern or by picking a pattern for your display mount. Here is a link to some free options at Wappen Vectors by Vecteezy , to consider. vecteezy.com/free-vector/wappen"
Glue the printed copy of the pattern onto the cardboard and cut around it. Repeat this for as many layers as you'd like.
Glue the cut out layers together and let dry.
Paint and add any embellishment you'd like. Check out this video for wood grain painting, youtube.com/watch?v=ZwRh8rP-PfI
Mount to wall, place your weapon on it and enjoy!
*Be careful when cutting anything especially with razors. Cut away from yourself and take your time*
If you make one, be sure to let me see it! Tag me on social media, or email me a photo if you want.
Adventure On!
