It seems like if you larp long enough and spend enough time in the woods you start to gather tales of the unknown. And after 25+ years, Maxx seems to have several. If you have a scary tale, be sure to comment.If any moral is to being taken from this tale, it's to be sure people know where you are and are going to, in case you get lost. Even though this story is somewhat eerie and creepy, if you remove those elements, this story could still be a nightmare if things didn't work out and search and rescue, law enforcement, etc had to be contacted. Be smart and communicate when you are larping. *There's actually a lot more to dead reckoning navigation that I elude to in this story. I refer to it more loosely and just going by feel, even though that's only a small part. There is a lot more to it and if it is something that interests you, I suggest doing some research on it. It is an American longbow style similar to the Sparrow Bow offered by Calimacil. Is it fiberglass with a Dymondwood riser, arrow shelf and sight window. They sell a right and left-handed version of this bow. One string is included with it.This is an elegant bow and if you're looking to make a statement this bow does that. The wood grain looks phenomenal and it's American longbow style makes a statement. It's look big, but still weighs under a pound. I can see playing a medieval ranger character using this bow, crossing a post-apocalyptic waste or hunting vampires in a cyberpunk city with this bow slung on my back. Regardless of setting, this bow will not let you down. I truly like the style, the way it felt in my hand and how nicely it fires. Choose the correct hand orientation for yourself and you will have a fine and accurate bow. Larp Weapon Review - Medieval Adventurers Bow By Calimacil LarpMix 2022-10-13 | Medieval Adventurer's Bow courtesy of Calimacil at calimacil.com/?aff=20 In this video, Maxx reviews the Medieval Adventurer's Bow from Calimacil. It is a wrapped fiberglass bow with wood tips. It has a traditional recurve design in the shape of a horse bow. One string is included with it.To me, this bow is what you want for larp. It's inexpensive as far as bow offerings are concerned. It's an ambidextrous 20lb. draw and looks the part for any medieval fantasy game. It comes in several colors to match your kit or setting and is very easy to pull back, which is very forgiving on your body, if you will be firing hundreds of times at a larp event. I was quite impressed with this bow at short ranges and I think for most larps this is great choice. You can see in the video how the low draw weight makes it a bit less accurate at distances, but if you learn to compensate, it can be overcome. Be sure to take proper care of this bow though, you will need to maintain it properly for it to stay in excellent condition. It is a short fiberglass bow with the classic shape of a traditional recurve bow, but with a modern arrow shelf and removable arms for easy transportation and storage. One string is included with it.I like this bow a lot, but unfortunately I believe most games do not allow draw strengths as high as this one in combat. But for playing games of skill at events, this bow delivers. It is simple enough looking, that it can fit in any fantasy game regardless of setting or era. I personally really like takedown bows due to easy transportation, so I believe this is an excellent addition to any collection. I am very happy with this bow and how it performed and it made me feel like a superstar when shooting it. It fires true and accurate, and even for a novice, I was able to stay on target. No matter where on Earth you are watching this video, you may have this lovely edible plant chillin right in your front yard.It's considered basically a weed by most people, but I find since it's easily identified and I personally like garlic and onion tastes, so for me it's a fun thing to forage, plus I have tons of it in my yard.If looking for this plant, it can be up to 3 feet tall depending on time of year and it'll have a round hollow leaf and smell like garlic or onions when cut. It eventually gets a purple flower on it also. There are other characteristics you can use to further determine this plant, and I suggest researching it.
