A playthrough of Virgin's 1994 license-based action game for the NES, Disney's Aladdin.

Played through on the normal difficulty level.

Disney's Aladdin is a PAL-exclusive NES port of the Game Boy adaptation of Virgin's 1993 Sega Genesis game. It was made by NMS, whose work might bring to mind the similarly terrible NES conversion of The Lion King (youtu.be/LH2_Ea4xEKY).

Aladdin lacks The Lion King's references to pedophilia, but that's the only thing it has going for it. Several levels are missing, the controls are sloppy, the graphics are worse than the Game Boy version's thanks to the hideous color palette choices, and the whole thing feels lifeless and slow.

NMS was an early pioneer in the art of shovelware, and those unlucky enough to find themselves in possession of this cartridge took that shovel straight to the face. It could be argued that Aladdin is "playable", but it's also an appalling piece of shit. They couldn't even be bothered to spellcheck the very first screen. I mean, "The Walt Disney Companey"? Seriously?

Hummer Team's bootleg NES port of Capcom's SNES Aladdin game (youtu.be/wbyVYFlgqi0) outclasses it in every way imaginable.
