Dimensional Slaughter is one of those games I was very divisive about when I first played it, and when I first revisited it. It led to a few frustrations and crash outs, which were done outside of recording. But life is strange sometimes. When you think a game is bad, it can also stem from how you're feeling as well and the game isn't as bad as you think it is. It's a good game, but you have to be in the right mindset for it, and the gameplay style may or may not be for you. But it is worth a try at the very least.
Notes:
- There is a codex explaining lore and the dimensions and weapons, but the big picture is incomplete because there's still content yet to be made.
- Expert mode is agony. It's not impossible, but you really need to lock in to have any hope of doing it.
Also, revisiting Ultrakill gave me a huge reality check. There's so much that's changed and it showed in my run of the level before Gabriel in Act 2, and I wasn't even playing on the Brutal difficulty. I'm going to have to re-learn the game and go in blind again before Act 3 finishes.
Chapters:
Mario Jump, Cope & Backrooms - 0:00
Dimensional Slaughter - 0:30
