The new skate. has been out for a while now, and the reception has been very mixed. A lot of people have criticized it, a lot of people are enjoying it. But what can be said is that it's not the skate 4 fans of the franchise were hoping for. As I said in my recent post, this is my very first skate game, so I'm not coming into this video with any nostalgia, I'm giving it a shot on it's own merit. So far, it's been a blast even in spite of the horrible face models, annoying ai, the aggressive microtransaction model, the lack of a story and repetitive content, the skateboarding physics and animations are unreal, genuinely one of the best feelings of movement I've ever experienced in a game. If they play their cards right and actually listen to valid criticisms, skate. could turn into a genuine banger, and I look forward to diving into it further.
I haven't played a lot and I've only started, so don't expect 1000+ hours levels of gameplay here.
