First Cut Samurai Duel has been around for a few years, known as First Cut that started back in 2017. But this is a more complete version of the game, and has become one of my favourite titles in 2024. It's satisfying and sometimes incredibly frustrating. But I love the aesthetics and the beautiful sprite work in both the environments and the animations. Combat can be bullshit sometimes though, especially on the higher difficulties. Curating the experience to make it more fair and balanced lets you see the best parts of the game, and for the asking price, it's definitely worth a try. If you're unsure, you can try the older version to see if it clicks.
