Playing as T.T. in "Diddy Kong Racing" (v1.0) for the Nintendo 64.
PLAYING NOTE: I deliberately (attempted to) avoid using boosts as much as possible for the normal races and silver coin challenges. The only time I use them is when I'm getting the key to unlock a battle stage, and when I'm doing the trophy race. 10 bananas are more than enough to win normal races and silver coin challenges. Yes, bananas do increase the top speed of the character you're playing as.
Recorded in the year 2011; originally divided into 22 parts, edited into one video.
----------
T.T.'s stats:
- Weight Group: Middle
- Acceleration: 5.0 ~ Very High
- Handling: 2.5 ~ Slightly Below Average
- Top Speed: 5.0 ~ Very High
NOTE: With the plane, T.T.'s top speed and acceleration are the same as Krunch's.
T.T. is a stopwatch and the fastest driver.
----------
Rules of play:
- Mostly minimal boosts for normal races and silver coin challenges.
How the game works:
AIs cheat by using a power up whenever you do, as well as honking the horn. 60% of the time, there is always a chance you will be hit by a homing missile. If you get enough distance in 1st place, the AIs will stop hitting Zippers behind you, as well as driving into traps and not being effected off-screen, including them not getting stopped by the bridge off-screen in Boulder Canyon.
Car tips:
To drift, turn first, and then hold the R button. During that time, turning can be controlled. Braking while drifting is required, especially for heavy characters.
Hovercraft tips:
Only use the R button for sharp turns. DO NOT hold the R button when going straight forward. Do not hold Down on the analog stick either. Doing either of those things WILL decrease speed.
Plane tips:
To turn sharper, use the R button. To do an upwards loop-de-loop, tap the R button twice. To do a downwards loop-de-loop, hold Up, and then tap the R button twice. During that time, depending on how long the R button is held, it can last up to 1 second. After that, it finishes with a boost. To do a barrel roll, hold either Left or Right, and then tap the R button twice. While doing barrel rolls continuously, let go of the accelerator for greater boosting.
Green boost tip:
To get a green boost, let go of the accelerator before either hitting a Zipper or using a blue balloon power up. During that time, wait UNTIL the multicolored smoke disappears, and THEN accelerate again.

----------
Out of all the normal races and silver coin challenges, the hardest one to win using as little boosts as possible is the silver coin challenge of Windmill Plains! That race is absurdly hard with that kind of rule! The reason why is because the AIs actually DO let go of the accelerator upon hitting Zippers, even upon using blue balloon power ups! There is absolutely NO room for error, because if you don't make the right moves at the beginning or during the race, you aren't going to win! Getting hit by a homing missile or an oil slick is definitely NOT an option either! Because of those problems, it's absurdly hard to win using as little boosts as possible!
Windmill Plains | Silver Coin Challenge as T.T. [Minimal Boosts]:
Since T.T.'s top speed is above average (plane only), you will not have to worry about the AIs hitting the Zipper on the 1st lap. Just focus on getting the silver coins.
If two AIs hit the Zipper on the 1st lap, it is IMPOSSIBLE to win.

NOTE: This tutorial is not meant to be friendly. There might be a bit of safeness. But to get the fastest possible time, these tricks must be performed.
Crab patterns:
After the story cutscene, the crab pattern starts. It depends on how fast or slow the levels are cleared along with text skipping. The more one speedruns this category, the more the speedrunner will see some fishing patterns. Regardless, the RNG is still involved in them. In a casual playthrough, it can be random whether the crab shows up or not.
Funkys Fishing 6:
If the crab didnt appear in the previous mini-game, then waiting to catch it here will be forced. Depending on the RNG here, time can either be saved or lost.
After Funkys Fishing 6:
Upon completing Funkys Fishing 6, the Rambi Token is collected. Getting the last Rambi Token here is the best time. Its faster than getting it in Temple Tempest.
Rambi Bonus:
Collecting 600 tokens in order to get a picture is required to get 101%.
Be sure to go to Cranky afterwards.
In order to get 101% in the Game Boy Advance version, every Bonus Room has to be found. Not only that, but every picture (as well as the K-O-N-G letters) has to be collected. Donkey Kong Country [GBA] SR - Funkys Fishing 6 [101%]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/aicWVs_lljY/mqdefault.jpg)

NOTE: This tutorial is not meant to be friendly. There might be a bit of safeness. But to get the fastest possible time, these tricks must be performed.
Rambi the Rhino:
Rambi is significantly slower in the GBA version than he was in the SFC version. But he is required to get 101%. And to do that, he needs to ram into Krusha in order to get a picture. Since Rambi is significantly slower, losing him multiple times is faster. The reason why is because it makes him speed up, and it makes going through the level faster with the speed of Diddy. After ramming into Krusha, Rambi is immediately dismounted.
After Bonus Room #1:
Going through 3 moving Mincers in a circle by cartwheeling is safer. Its possible to jump through those Mincers after cartwheeling, but its just too risky.
After letter N:
Jumping on Krusha, turning left, and being sent to the right is faster. Its possible to jump over Krusha, but its frame perfect.
Bonus Room #2 approaching:
After cartwheeling through a set of 3 Gnawtys, its possible to one-cycle the fast moving Mincer by cartwheeling immediately.
Bonus Room #2:
In the SFC version, going into this area with the letter G in it wasnt required to get 101%. But in the GBA version, going into this area is required to get 101%. This area is very nasty when it comes to getting the letter G.
In order to get 101% in the Game Boy Advance version, every Bonus Room has to be found. Not only that, but every picture (as well as the K-O-N-G letters) has to be collected. Donkey Kong Country [GBA] SR - Manic Mincers [101%]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ckdRWNKk2jg/mqdefault.jpg)

![TR: The Last Revelation [PS] - Tutorial Bypassing (v1.1)
Tutorial bypassing (v1.1) in Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation for the PlayStation.
Version 1.0:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v s85VXiJ2Fs
If you are playing the PlayStation version and you care about secrets (and all pickups), you will have to go through the tutorial level(s). Otherwise, just do the level skip code twice if you dont care about secrets (and all pickups). Unfortunately, you cannot enter a code to get all 8 Golden Skulls, as they will not count as secrets if you do.
How to go fast, bypass some instructor cutscenes, and find secrets in Angkor Wat (version 1.1):
- The action and camera cutscenes cannot be skipped.
- In version 1.1, the instructor cutscenes cannot be skipped with the Look button.
- The main objective is to collect all 8 Golden Skulls (and a couple of other items). The 1st Golden Skull is out in the open. Collect it.
- Positioning on triggering the spikes and surviving with a swan dive is advised. Otherwise, just wait for Werner to trigger the spikes.
- To bypass the 3rd and 4th instructor cutscenes, jump over the barricade, preferably to the right. Collect the 2nd Golden Skull, then climb up.
- To bypass the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th instructor cutscenes, stray away from Werner and collect the 3rd Golden Skull. Then do a running jump along with rolling in midair, and jump from the slope.
- To bypass the 14th and 15th instructor cutscenes, jump in the water. Collect the 4th Golden Skull (along with a Small Medipack and a Large Medipack).
- To bypass the 16th instructor cutscene, surface OUTSIDE of the mouth waterfall. Press and hold Forward until the shore is reached and climb out. As long as Forward is held, the instructor cutscene will not trigger. It is a bit faster this way.
- In version 1.1, the door has been added, making it impossible to bypass Werner activating the switch.
- The 5th and 6th Golden Skulls are out in the open. Collect them.
- To bypass the 20th instructor cutscene, sprint and crouch into the gap.
- In version 1.1, after triggering the 2nd action cutscene, collecting the 7th Golden Skull will still count as a secret.
- The 21st instructor cutscene can be bypassed, but it involves triggering the 20th instructor cutscene from before. Plus, there is a slight chance that the 21st instructor cutscene will be triggered anyway. Overall, its faster to just bypass the 20th instructor cutscene from before.
- To enter the Route of the Virtuous with all 8 Golden Skulls, trigger the 22nd instructor cutscene, wait until Werner begins to proceed to the gate, then go and collect the 8th Golden Skull next to the barricade. It is actually faster and safer this way. At this point, it is okay to do the level skip twice code.
- To bypass the 26th instructor cutscene, do a running jump from the alcove here and grab the rope. Positioning on grabbing the rope from a higher height is advised.
Race for the Iris (Easy) is shown afterwards.
Be sure to save, and DO NOT overwrite that file if you want to start in the actual 1st level next time you want to play the game from the beginning. The downside to this is that you will not be able to see the FMV before the actual 1st level, unless you either save at the end of part 2s tutorial level or do the level skip code twice.
Also, since there is no level select in this game, saving on other files is recommended.
Hope this makes going through the forced tutorial level(s) less annoying and frustrating... TR: The Last Revelation [PS] - Tutorial Bypassing (v1.1)](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/e2R2PDfWfkA/mqdefault.jpg)
