In this video, I react to Gainsborough’s official installation video for the Freestyle digital lock and point out several issues that stood out to me as a working locksmith.

While watching the install, I noticed holes changing size between steps, tools being used without being shown or explained, and a few parts of the installation process that don’t reflect how these locks are fitted on real doors. I also share my thoughts on some design choices in the new lock that, in my opinion, aren’t as well thought out as they could be.

This isn’t about attacking a brand — it’s about looking at the install process and product design from a real-world trade perspective, not a polished marketing video.
