These vintage Lockwood window locks have been around for many years, and quite often the original keys have been lost. Rather than replacing a perfectly good old lock, a locksmith can make a new key to suit the existing lock.
I’ll take you through the process of working with the Lockwood LW3, making the key and getting this classic piece of Lockwood hardware operating again.
It’s a good example of traditional locksmithing — sometimes the job isn’t about replacing the lock with something new. It’s about understanding the old hardware and making what you need to keep it working.
