In today's video I give an overview of a common issue involving a symptom of a hesitation or stumble when warm on acceleration effecting Ford F series pickups; mainly year models 1985-1989. This issue effects both six (4.9L) and eight cylinder (5.0L) equipped F150, F250 and F350 Ford trucks. I dig deeper into the diagnosis of this fault and even dust off my lab scope and try to remember how to operate it and find the cause for this condition. We measure duty cycle for the profile ignition pickup and find the smoking gun. Ill also give some simple ways to diagnose the fault yourself with a common dwell meter. Watch this video for more information.
