One thing I really like is how good buffers can allow some more dated characters to shine.
With Snow being the all-purpose tank and Ramza providing buffs and battery, Locke here is doing extremely well despite being an early EX+ character.
Previously, Locke kind of fell behind as there were better stand-alone attackers, and Locke's utility isn't strong enough to single handedly handle later Chaos stages.
However, with Snow being an all-purpose tank and Ramza providing buffs/free turn/battery, Locke is allowed free reign on what he does.
His healing perfectly complements this team, his damage and shaving are both very good with buffs, and the break bonus up efect becomes noticeably useful in providing the team with extra BRV.
And to top it off, it doesn't feel like that Locke is being carried here, if anything this team needed the healing from Locke to clear this fight. His damage is up to par and has enough longevity to finish this fight without calling in a friend.
