Growing up in Evangelical Christianity, Deacon Joe Allison looked up to many saintly figures from history: missionaries, evangelists, and even people in his own family who had passed on.
He shares what it was like to embrace the Catholic understanding of the Communion of Saints, and realize that they are are older brothers and sisters in the Lord, in deeper relationship with God than we are, and capable of praying for us as we seek to join them one day in perfect fellowship with Christ.
