During the 1990s, Henry Ford and King traded wins with each school winning two out of for games. In their first matchup in the 2000s, it featured the defending PSL champions versus the eventual PSL champions. King entered the game undefeated and Henry Ford was 6-1 and the defending PSL champions. King won this tight game, 20-14; and went on to win the PSL championship the following week versus Kettering for their first PSL title since 1992.
