This was a battle of truly tough and old-school coached teams, and a very hard hitting game. Detroit Henry Ford was coached by Mike Marshall and Dearborn Fordson was coached by Jeff Stergalas. The winner of this game eventually won the 1993 Class A state championship. Fordson won, 14-12. Henry Ford was led by All-American linebacker Leon Merritt #9 (University of Colorado) and running back Londell Bright #1 (Oklahoma State University).
