Much like the timeline of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, my Patreon Requests have led me into many paths and intertwining adventures I still don't fully understand. Nonetheless I made a challenging choice to change my request approach to keep up my own favorite ideas and song-choices.. For our one last ride, we went with the theme of summertime music and Spankyworks nailed it with the pick of "Destiny Islands". A song introducing you to the world of Kingdom Hearts, it has a lot of surprisingly intricate melodies and plenty of fun fills! After working with David Russell on the same track for his orchestration group Project Destati's debut, I was very familiar with the track and where it can take you as well! I started the first game in 2014 when we were in college as well, so I've finally gotten a much deeper appreciation for the series and its music!

While we are just weeks away from my biggest music project ever, it's important for me to take breaks with smaller songs like this! There's a lot more room to experiment with singles, especially given how much acoustic guitar is involved with this track, and I got to play a bit more live drums when working on this! I sincerely hope you enjoy this one, give this game or its franchise a shot if you like action RPGs, and enjoy a little bit of your summer once more.
